With the release of Persona 5 I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to look back at Persona 4 with Charles Dunbar of Gaijin Insight. Here we see that Persona 4 does an excellent job of exploring gender identity and homosexuality in a way that is both positive, and pretty unlike what Japanese culture tends to accept. Gender and sexuality are fluid, and no one are more fluid (giggity) than Naoto and Kanji.
